The most happening place of India (according to me), Goa is for party lovers and lazy bodies alike. This is my sixth trip to Goa and like every time it was fun in a different way. First half of trip was all party in North Goa followed by second half in South Goa to relax in peace & quiet. As I said before this is a place for both. It being Republic Day long weekend, everywhere we went it was crowded to its peak.
The first and foremost attraction of Goa are its beaches and shacks. There is nothing like lazying around in one of sun beds in front of a shack, drinking beer and soaking up the sun with occasional dip in Arabian Sea. And if in mood, there are plenty of water sports activities to participate in. There are tons of beaches spread from North to South. Many of the popular ones are crowded all day long and have night parties till wee hours of morning. But there are few secluded ones as well if you just want to relax and veg out in the sun. Sunsets are especially magnificent viewed from any beach and Sunrises are ideal time to take a stroll of jog on beach.

You should definitely not miss on food especially seafood. Except the countless beach shacks, there are many fine dining restaurants in every part of Goa. Local catch of Crabs, Lobsters, Prawns and Fishes are worth trying for. Among local dishes Vindaloo or Xacuti curry dishes are the best with any of the meats. Also, I think Goans really know how to cook their steak because I haven't had that perfectly cooked steak anywhere else in India. And do try fresh croissants or buns from any local bakery early in the morning. Each restaurant has a unique decor which added to the enjoyment of having delicious food.

And, of course, do enjoy beauty of local architecture and landmarks. Get a Tatoo or a foot massage. Do some bird watching. Watch locals indulge in their favorite sport i.e. football. Pass your time doing shopping at numerous pop-up shops and flea markets. Or take a boat and do some fly fishing yourself. All in all have fun when you are in Goa.
